This hand-forged Viking throwing axe features a hand-hammered head with a sharpened edge (56–58 HRC) plus a functional hammer poll with a hardened face for driving nails and stakes.
- Handle: single-piece weather-proofed ash wood — one of the hardest, most durable timbers — with an ergonomic curve, a slight downward blade angle at contact, and a lanyard hole at the base. Choose 14" or 18".
- Throwing size: the 14" option meets the specifications of most throwing leagues; we recommend it as an informal throwing axe and general survival hatchet.
- Grip: thick harness-leather cross-stitch with a Norse-style leather strap near the base.
